We have qualified, caring employees working at Woody's Day Nursery and every worker is, undoubtedly, a remarkable one.

We work for you and your children!

Meet the key people of Woody's Day Nursery:


Traci - Proprietor and Manager, level 3.

Traci is the owner and manager of Woody's.

She will deal with any issues and aspects of your child's care at the nursery at any time convenient to you.

Being a mother of three children herself who are aged between 4 and 15 years old, she knows how important it is to choose the right childcare and she will do everything possible and achieve quality, caring and affordable childcare for your child/children. Traci is qualified to level 2 but has just finished her level 3 diploma in childcare, passing with grade B. She is a trained first aider and has undertaken child protection/safeguarding children level 2 training. She has completed behaviour management and curriculum planning training courses. She has also completed further training in behaviour and the mini code of practice with other staff at the setting. She has now completed her EYFS training too which is the new framework that is coming in to play in September 08'. Traci is also keyperson to many children.

Val - Deputy manager, Level 2.

Val works part time at Woody's and is deputy manager when Traci is absent. She recently retired but has always longed to get back into the profession in which she trained for many years ago and in which she ran her own pre school. She has her refreshed level 2 in childcare, a paediatric first aid certificate and she has also been on various in house training days within the nursery including training with the essex wildlife trust and foundation stage planning. She has also furthered her behaviour skills and trained in the mini code of practice. She has also been on the EYFS training with Traci which is now complete. She is key person to many children.

Beverly - Nursery assistant, NNEB

Beverly works part time at Woody's. She has her NNEB qualification and has achieved other training days within the nursery since joining us including behaviour management and curriculum planning and the mini code of practice. She has many years experience working with children of all ages and has a very good knowledge with special educational needs. She works within Kirby primary school outside of her time at Woody's with children up to the age of 7 years including one to one care with certain children.

Beverly is a very caring and calm member of our team and many of the children are very attached to her. She is also key person for various children.

Laura - Assistant manager level 3 and Senco.

Laura works full time at the nursery and has the position of nursery manager when Traci is not there. She has her level 3 diploma in childcare, first aid certificate and various other training applicable to the job. She has just completed behaviour training and the mini code of practice with all other staff. She has many years experience in the nursery business and is keyperson to children. She is a trained first aider and has just completed her SENCO training and been on child protection/safeguarding children basic level with Hannah.

Hannah - Nursery assistant level 2.

Hannah is our newest member of the Woody's team. She is qualified to level 2, has her first aid certificate and food hygiene certificate. She joined the rest of the staff to train in the mini code of practice. She has had many student work placements to gain her level 2 and now has a part time job with us here at Woody's. She also has her enhanced CRB check and is key person to several children.


ALL PERMANENT STAFF HAVE AN ENHANCED CRB CHECK

We do have a list of volunteers who work at the nursery occassionally and we do take on work experience students from time to time.

No un-trained student or volunteer is left alone with any child at any time.

Rest assured that your child's care is our first concern and their safety is paramount.
